    “Tamarin Bay and Black River have a number of good restaurants and lovely beaches. Situated on the West Coast of Mauritius, there is a large shopping centre Cascavelle and various other supermarkets.”

    No big hotels and therefore no mass tourism.
    Beautiful beach near. With the car only about 30 minutes to the beautiful beaches in the south.”

    “Tamarin is a perfect little town. Everything is close by - beaches, shopping centres and restaurants. It is fairly quiet and easy to get around.”

    “Tamarin is one of the most sunny and beautiful coast of the island. It is an authentic and modern area at the same time and not over crowded with restaurants, bars and night clubs as the north coast. You can enjoy many activities there like big game fishing, swimming with the dolphins, catamaran cruises to benitiers Island with barbecue in or out board, sea kart trips, horse riding by the seaside or in the forest, stand up paddle and so much more. If you are a surf lover tamarin bay can offer you some really good waves! If you prefer to have a good swim you can easily reach flic en flac or le morne reputated beaches which are really close to tamarin and easily accessible by car or by public buses. You can also have nice shopping possibilities and a variety of local and international cuisine around tamarin and there are many supermarkets where you can find everything you need. If you want to have fun at night there are some bars and night clubs around but mainly in flic en flac. Whether you are going on family trip, a friends' ride or simply a couple's romantic escape tamarin is definitely the place to be!”
