Catalonia borders France in the north separated by the Pyrenees, the region Aragón in the west and in the south-west is the region Valencia. Catalonia – Sea and the rugged mountains

The Catalonian coastal region lures countless vacationers. There are also a number of options in the inland to explore. For hikers, mountain bikers, skiers, climbers and nature enthusiasts the Pyrenees is their holiday destination of choice. There are some very important nature reserves in Catalonia which can be discovered either by foot or on horseback. The Cistercian Route which runs between the towns Tarragona and Tarrega links up three romantic monasteries. This is an ideal hiking route where you will come across well worth seeing small towns and nature parks.
