La Fustera: Cosy, rustic single-family house "Els Pins", renovated in 2015. 5 km from the centre of Calpe, in a quiet, sunny position, 1 km from the sea. Private: property 2'000 m2, natural garden, swimming pool (6 x 12 m, 01.01.-31.12.). Terrace, garden furniture, barbecue. Supermarket, restaurant, bar 500 m, sandy beach 1 km. Sports harbour 1 km, golf course (9 hole) 7 km, surf school 1 km, sailing school 1 km. Nearby attractions: Aqualandia, Mundomar, Terra Mítica, Terra Natura, y Benidorm Palace (Benidorm).

    “Generally speaking this is a lovely villa. It is set up in the hills and although has neighbouring properties it is private. The villa is split over two levels which are like separate apartments. The ground floor level has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a kitchen/living area. The upstairs level (accessable via stairs on the outside of the property) has 3 bedrooms (1 en-suite), kitchen, lounge, bathroom, sun room and a small balcony. The kitchens and bathrooms are all pretty new. Outside there is a pool, outdoor kitchen, terrace and extensive gardens.
    There are however some relatively minor problems with this villa which could easily be rectified. The main issues is that this villa has no air conditioning - and to be fair it is not listed as having air conditioning. However I would expect fans in the property - there should be one for each bedroom at the very least. We had to go out and buy fans that we then had to squeeze into our cases. There are only 6 loungers for the pool area and 2 of them were pretty ruined - sagged in the middle and very uncomfortable...so only 4 loungers for a villa sleeping 10 people.
    Then onto the management of this villa which is done via Interhomes. You have to go into Calpe to collect keys from their offices. I was given no instructions of the property other than some contact details, a list of things expected of us, map of how to get to it and the keys. When we arrived we noticed that the umbrella was borken and that there was no electricity. I used the number provided but the person who answered did not speak English and i only know the basics in Spanish so I could not discuss the problems with her. We eventually worked out how to turn on the electricity on - there is a box on the front of the villa you need to turn the master switch,. I emailed interhomes regarding the umbrella and requested a new one but they did not reply. Tried to point these ot when keys were returned but they were quire curt and rude and simple told us to email.
    Finally - on your day of departure you have a list of things to do including stripping the beds - we were pretty shocked at this given we pay for cleaners to go into the property in between occupants.
    Location - we had hire cars but did get a taxi into Calpe one night- we needed 2 taxis and the return trip was 60 euros so quite expensive given it's not far away. There are probably some restaurants within walking distance but be prepared for a steep uphill walk back on windy narrow roads.
    Overall a lovely villa which I would be happy to return to but for a few snags that could easily be remedied but Interhomes not very interested or helpful to deal with.”

    “War im großen und ganzen alles ok. Nur bei einer Dusche lief das Wasser raus.
    Küchen- ausstatung war bescheiden. 6 Sonnenliegen für ein 10 Personenhaus,na ja.”
