Family vacation along the coast of Zeeland

Zeeland | Zeeland offers families with kids a relaxing vacation along extensive, guarded and smooth sloppy beaches like in Renesse, Cadzand or Domburg. The beaches stretching along the western coast even have coloured orientation posts known as „Nijntje-Posts“ which give children orientation at the endless long beaches. This enables the parents to be more at ease on vacation and the kids can go on an adventure.

Beyond this Zeeland has a lot to offer for children and their parents with a great amount of highlights: Have a real shark straight in front of your face and enjoy exciting pirate fights in the recreational park „Het Arsenal“ in Vlissingen. There is also a lot of excitement to be had at the largest European reptile zoo Iguana where big crocodiles and tarantulas await visitors. In any case one should not miss the impressive Deltaworks which is a storm surge barrier and comprises of an array of structures to prevent such catastrophic events as the storm tide of 1953. In the Deltapark „Neeltje Jans“ in Vrouwenpolder you can find out everything about this dreadful event, the construction of the works and visit the erected barrier. The Deltapark though has even more to offer: Great fun at the giant water slide, a stiff breeze from the hurricane machine or a lively swell on the ship Moby Dick.
