Discover the mountains!

Tyrol | Breathe in clear mountain air whilst on a hiking tour, feel the adrenalin going through you on a rafting tour or enjoy the impressive backdrop of snow covered Alpine summits when enjoying a picnic on the Alpine pastures – all this and much one can experience whilst spending a vacation in Tyrol! The Austrian Federal State is one of the most popular and diverse travel destinations in this Alpine Republic and offers a number of holiday options throughout the year.

For example conquer the mountains together with your entire family – either by foot or comfortably with the cable railway. When reaching the top you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Alps. For those seeking a greater challenge might fancy some climbing. There are though a number of hiking routes on offer to reach some of the summits without needing a rope and hooks to get to the top.

A good way to get to know Tyrol’s nature is on two wheels. Very well developed cycle routes like for example in Zillertal invite you to go on extensive tours. But also mountain bikers will love it here as there are different routes which offer different challenges and levels of difficulty.

Want even a greater dose of nature? Then pay a visit to the National Park Hohe Tauern and be enchanted by these unique mountains. This national park is one of the biggest of its kind in Europe. There is an array of flora and fauna as well as being home to more than 10,000 animals species. With a bit of luck you might be able to observe a marmot, chamois, golden eagle or also an Alpine ibex.

A pleasant paddle with the canoe or a tumultuous rafting tour – there are an abundance of water sport activities to be enjoyed in Tyrol. Relaxing canoe trips on Tyrol’s rivers provide for an ideal change and fascinate with lovely views of both towering mountain ranges. You are sure to have a great bathing holiday at the Tyrol seas such as for example Lake Achen during the summer months.

During the winter of course winter sport takes centre stage in most of Tyrol’s ski regions. Whether downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding or sledging – Tyrol ski regions have a lot to offer and are regarded as some of the best in the world. Popular destinations with atraveo customers for a nice winter vacation are Ötztalarena Sölden and Brixental-Wilder Kaiser.

In regards to vitality, relaxation and natural experience it is difficult to outdo Tyrol. At the end of each day you can reflect upon another adventurous day with your loved ones on the terrace of your hut and make plans for the next days. atraveo provides more than 4,000 holiday apartments and houses in Tyrol. Particularly popular are the regions National Park Hohe Tauern, Zillertal, Paznauntal and Oberinntal as well as the towns Fügen, Kappl, Längenfeld, Mayrhofen, Sölden and Stumm. “Reutte is located in Austria to the German border, it is a typical town of the title, very pretty and really does have it nothing; there is in fact any type of store, but above all it is an ideal location to visit the many picturesque villages nearby. I highly recommend visiting Fussen (lovely town and its shops) and the famous castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, the incredible and the most popular Oberammergau and Garmisch chic, all seats in the car quickly ragiungibili, between 15 and 50 km from Reutte.
For those who enjoy mountain trails, cycling and mountain biking you are really spoiled for choice for both beginners and the more experienced. (Company to stay and tourism you can find maps of the trails on foot or by bike) We have made three altettanti walking and cycling, it marks the way around the Plansee lake that has a transparent water and with amazing colors you can appreciate especially on the side exposed to the sun in the afternoon and where you can swim on small free beaches or bathing on the grass, we start from the Hotel Seespitze, cross the bridge and you all around the lake ( 3 to 4 hours walking). We enjoyed our meals at the restaurant of the Hotel Maximilian in Reutte (Ehenbichle) in Fussen Gasthof Krone in the quaint but generally the food was always up. Although prices are still not excessive, at most we spent 23 euros each, for a full dinner. Only negative the price of water in bars and places of interest to visit that is really exaggerated, close to Garmisch for 3 packs of mineral water from one and a half, six bottles each have asked the modest sum of 38 euros !!! ... Which of course we have not given ..in any case, just knowing it and if you go in the supermarkets you pay little more than in Italy. If you arrive on Saturday or Sunday, consider that the shops are all completely closed including supermarkets and shopping malls, so bring with you need to cook a day and a half if you do not intend to go to a restaurant .... The shops in Austria as in Germany they are open on time went up to 18, and Saturday half-day up to 14, then closed until all Domenica..e to go out to eat not presentetatevi beyond 20, 20:15 because you risk not eating. .For children and young people but also for adults recommend the world's longest roller coaster built along the ridge of a mountain (10 minutes down between curves and fast descents down the mountain, but never eccesive), the Alpine Coaster in Imst, climb on top of the chair lift and then go down individually or in a maximum of two on a "bob" of which you can adjust the speed downhill accelerator and brake pedals, ideal for children accompanied by a parent, all very nice and fun and in complete safety.
The area is still very Estate offers for families with children, and also for those who travel with their dog (we we brought our always with us in the hike), but also for those who love hiking in the mountains on foot and cycling at all levels, as well as for those who want to enjoy the beautiful sights and towns that are around us, both in Austria and is in Southern Bavaria. We want to go even in the winter to ski and we'll see if the area is also under quest'apsetto height and at that time, but I guess it's really as far as we could see.”

Beautiful hiking and walking trails on foot from the house accessible.
Large, nice hiking area (something for everyone).
Castle Neuschwandstein and other castles, royal, modern thermal baths with outdoor pools (also for children), cockscomb, Zugspitze and much more, all inside 30 minutes is reached.”
