13 years of innovation and service
atraveo's roots date back to the year 1997, when founder Marcus Hültenschmidt had the idea of making holiday home booking simpler, faster and more convenient. Over the years a unique technology was developed, in order to make the very heterogeneous supply comparable and bookable. However the technology was always a means, not the goal. From the very beginning the customer and his holiday demand was in the foreground. Supply and service were enlarged and enhanced continuously. Also due to a strong partner network the holiday home market prospered and developed quickly into the largest supply of its kind on the German speaking internet. In early days the company based in Düsseldorf was named Seahorse Reisen, later on Intercasa, before it was renamed in atraveo GmbH in 2005. 2006 Wolters Reisen GmbH, subsidiary of TUI, became a majority shareholder of atraveo GmbH.
