    “- In fact, the starting point and not Bomerano .. Praiano Praiano is 2000 steps down (and back up ..) and we did so, but not worth repeating;
    - In Bomerano you can take the bus to Amalfi. In Bomerano there are bars, fresh pasta maker, several local supermarkets, butcher, baker yummy .. In short everything is available if you are not too critical and want to eat local vegetables (little choice).
    - We walked down the path to Nocello, then by bus to Positano by boat to Amalfi (cozy and less expensive and crowded than Positano) and went there good food and lie on the beach and swimming. Lovely.
    - The bus ride to Amalfi (€ 1.80 only) lasts 40 minutes and is very spectacular. Given the winding roads and the driving style and the narrow streets (often you can not pass two cars), we never took the car. And during July and August there are many buses. Bomerano is the starting point for the Sentiero and so you arrive there a lot of hiking and walking past your house (in the distance, you do not bother and it's also fun to take someone to come unnatural)
    - Furthermore, the environment really bucolic and remains breathtaking.
    An absolute must for good walkers.”

    “For us Praiano was the perfect Amalfiküstenort: no mass tourism like in Positano and Amalfi - actually finds only residences and a few hotels. But you will find everything you need: a well-stocked supermarket (Tutto e tutti), very good restaurants ( "Kasai" and "M`mama" the latter is in the hotel Mhargeritha) - both are a road deeper. In addition, we took the bus to Positano and Amalfi: works great - the car stopped all the time.

    A great lounge bar we have found; at the church "San Gennaro" (below on the main road) past and then direction "Beach" run - eventually you come to the bar with no name by: enjoy sunset and the view of Positano ...
    And besides Praiano is perfect for the entry into the Path of the Gods: cumbersome, but each worth! Both the road to Positano, including the after Agerola is divine and worth seeing.”

    “We liked the slightly quieter and (in the season) verschlafenere Praiano very good. It has retained its original character and is a great starting point for excursions to Amalfi, Positano, Capri, the Sentiero degli Dei, etc.”

    “Nice place, not as touristy and crowded than Positano or Amalfi. Nevertheless, there is a good selection of restaurants and small grocery stores. Only the beach in the village is not very, very concreted. But along the coast there are alternatives.
    Overall, highly recommended.”

This is how holiday rental owners described Praiano

Praiano is located halfway between Positano and Amalfi, about 7 km from both. There is a public bus and the bus stop for Praiano is in front of the gate of the apartment. This service is not expensive and you can use it to visit all the Amalfi Coast.

Vacation in a holiday home at the Amalfi Coast

Anyone who wants to relax on natural beaches and enjoy the best of southern Italy should consider a vacation in holiday houses at Amalfi. The Amalfi Coast offers beautiful a coastline and countryside which has attracted many great artists. Amalfi's coast is located in the southwest of Italy, in the Campania region. Holiday homes in this area display unique medieval charm, and many holiday apartments are located directly along the beachside cliffs.

Holiday homes close to the sky

From romantic Ravello, through maritime Amalfi, to busy Salerno, the Amalfi Coast features breathtaking views along the dramatic coastline. You can rent a car to visit all of Amalfi's highlights, or take a hiking trip along trails in the countryside. It is also possible to explore the area by bike, along the hill paths and through lemon tree orchards. If you're looking for a truly special place to find holiday rentals, consider renting holiday houses near Valle dei Mulini. This steep-sided ravine is well worth seeing for its historic watermills where the inhabitants used to make paper; something that Amalfi is still famous for today.

Artisanship and historic beauty

The region has many gems to discover if you take the time to stay in one of Amalfi's holiday houses. The Amalfi coast consists of not only picturesque countryside and small Italian towns, but also many historic churches. Remember to visit Vietri sul Mare, a village which is known for its intricate traditional ceramics. If you book holiday apartments in Ravello, visit Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo. Other interesting holiday apartments are in Praiano, where one can visit the churches of San Luca and San Gennaro and enjoy scenic views of the landscape. The best time to travel is spring or summer, when you can enjoy Italy's nature in its prime.
