Relaxation and partying – That is what Majorca has to offer
Majorca | Majorca is not only a popular party destination in the summer but offers throughout the year a range of options to enjoy a great holiday home vacation. Choose your dream finca or a suitable holiday apartment on Majorca and discover what this Balearic Island in the Mediterranean Sea has to offer! The south of Majorca is a particularly lively place. Here you can find the island capital Palma de Mallorca with its pretty historical centre and impressive cathedral. East of that is the never ending beach Platja de Palma to goes to s'Arenal. In the midst of this party addicts will find their desire. More placid are the towns of sa Ràpita, Llucmajor, Campos and Saint Jordi as well as the splendid lovely beach of Es Trenc. Along the eastern side of Majorca you will be able to discover many small coastal resorts and lovely beaches. Particularly popular are Porto Cristo, Cala d'Or, Cala Ratjada and Santanyí. The north of the island is very much free of mass tourism. Larger towns here are Alcúdia and Pollença. This part of the island is shaped by lovely beaches and captivating natural landscape. A trip to Cap Formentor which is on the north western tip of the island and where you will find a lonesome lighthouse is worth considering. There are great holiday homes available in the north like for example in Cala de Sant Vicenç, Can Picafort, Port de Pollença and Muro. Even more secluded than the north is the west part of Majorca where one can find many remote small towns and villages. This is complemented by the spectacular mountain range Serra de Tramuntana which is the ideal place for climbers, hikers and mountain bikers with its vast area. On the south western part around Andratx and Port d'Andratx you will find many luxury villas of celebrities and it’s also much livelier here. It is also worth taking a look in the heartland of the island. The landscape is very impressive and many villages have been able to retain their Majorcan way of life. Most of the houses in the mountains and hills are traditionally restored and modern fincas. Most have their own pool and are generally cheaper than those objects at the coast. From here you can explore the countryside around you or head off to the next beach – which is never far away.

This is how holiday rental owners described Portocolom
Portocolom, where development has left its ...
show more charm as a fishing port untouched, and which still reflects a delightful maritime air in its picturesque corners. Its lighthouse, built in 1860, 42 m. above sea level, enhances the beauty of this great Mediterranean port even more.
The seafaring spirit of the place, its traditional artisan work, its close attachment to the land, its local dances and its regional cuisine continue still as the signs of identity of a Mediterranean town as many faceted, imperishable and different as its daily life.Prehistoric relics, hidden coves, charming villages and above all its friendly people who retain the beauty of the Mallorcan spirit within them. The Felanitx coastline has very many unspoilt heavenly coves of exceptional beauty. The most extensive is Cala Marçal which has every type of amenity. S'Arenal, close by the lighthouse, is smaller. The remainder of its coves, of difficult access, may be reached by boats which make the trip from the Port.
Its enviable geographical location makes PORTOCOLOM an ideal setting for all water sports: sailing, diving, fishing, water skiing and a wide range of other sports such as golf, tennis and cycling, or simply sunbathing and swimming from its marvellous beaches.
Felanitx is a village with all the necessary infrastructure: medical centers, police, firemen, shopping centers and restaurants.
Felanitx at 4km offers Sunday morning ...
show more a large market with a wide range of Cafés and shopping options of fresh island products.
Porto Colom is a charming fishing village also just 4km from the Villa. There are a wide variety of delicious restaurants and cafés along the Harbour with fantastic views.
Several quiet sandy beaches are located nearby. The Caribbean similar dunes beach "Es Trenc" is in a 25min distance.
The "Marina Cala D´Or" with many modern boutiques and restaurants is in a 15min distance.
The "Vall D´Or" Golf Club is in the immediate vicinity of the Finca.
The Monastery of San Salvador with its spectacular vantage point at 650 metres of height can be seen directly from the garden of the finca.
The "Drach" caves are a must for any visitor to mallorca.
show more with beaches that have calm waters due to the protection afforded by the port, and a wide selection of hotels and restaurants, make Porto Colom the perfect spot for family holidays.
Over the years the port´s commercial activities have disappeared, and fishing now has a token presence. However, the sailing club of Club Nàutic de Porto Colom is one of the most important and best-equipped on Mallorca, with many pleasure craft.
Cala Marçal: this beach, which is 90 m long and 150 m wide, has fine white sand; it is located in the residential area of Porto Colom and is surrounded by low cliffs. There is ample parking at the back, and the beach is well signposted.
Services: restaurants; sun loungers, pedal boats and parasols for hire.
