“We found Playa del Carmen very good for our needs. We felt safe, the people were friendly. The place is very clear. We could reach the Tauchsxhule, the bus station and larger shops still on foot. A car is not worth it. Outside the pedestrian zone the taxis are cheaper. We enjoyed it very much appreciated close to the center. We were often eating and have found in the side streets on recommendations of many living European good cheap restaurants and tacoluments, where the locals go. A third dinner with drinks for about 10 euros. In any case, pay in Mexican peso..Playa del Carmen offers something for everyone: for families, couples, young people, people who think more about alternative but also people who are looking for luxury.”

“Since we spent only two days in Playa del Carmen, we learned, unfortunately, know only our district, where everything was to find what is needed, such as shops, laundry facilities, and easy local.
Otherwise we were again at the Quinta Avenue, which is a matter of taste, there are many chic restaurants and shops where you can find everything. Those who want to shop is right here.”

“Nearby it has small shops where you can find the most important food, also has small restaurants, more home cooking. (Avenida 10). In the center there is a wide selection of apparel, souvenir shops and restaurants and Bars.In the apartment there are also some tips on where to find good Mexican, Italian or kitchen with Mayan influence. In the town center we have seen four exchange offices where you can exchange currency.
A small drawback: Sometimes the dogs of the neighbors barking. Otherwise one hears but mostly birds and early in the morning a rooster :-) (but not for long). We found the price-performance ratio very good.”

Time for a Vacation in a Holiday Home in Mexico

Mexico | Between the United States and South America, Mexico perennially welcomes tourists from across the world. Holiday houses, holiday apartments, and holiday rentals are booked to capacity in December and during spring break, when American students flock to the country's beach towns. A warm climate, architectural splendors, and a fusion of European and Meso-American elements make Mexico a can't-miss destination.

A Wealth of Architectural and Cultural Legacies in Mexico

The capital Mexico City is a city of superlatives. It is home to the world's largest bullring, Plaza de Toros México, and the largest cathedral in the Western Hemisphere, Metropolitan Cathedral. Meso-American ruins are the last relics of ancient Mayan civilization. After settling down into a cozy holiday house or holiday apartment, explore the heartland of Mexico at your leisure. The Pyramids of the Sun and Moon in the ancient city of Teotihuacan are a must visit. Astronomers will love Chichen Itza's temple-pyramid of El Castillo. Set on the western edge of the former Mayan empire, the town of Palenque is best known for its Temple of Inscriptions. The Chihuahua al Pacifico Railway, 7900 feet above sea level, offers heart-stopping views of the canyons below. Last, do not miss the ultimate Latin American festival, Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), in the region of Oaxaca, where cemeteries come to life with celebrations.

For the Love of Nature

The 1000 kilometer-long coastline includes the Gulf of Mexico, the Mexican Caribbean Coast to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Watch divers plunge into the ocean from the cliffs of Acapulco, a favorite 50's Hollywood haunt. Scuba diving and snorkeling enthusiasts shouldn't miss Cozumel's delicate coral reefs or Los Cabos, a great spot for whale-watching.

Mexico's incredibly varied natural landscapes include towering mountains, low coastal plains, plateaus, grasslands, deserts, tropical rainforests, and even snowy areas. Numerous, charming haciendas have been converted into holiday homes, holiday rentals, and holiday houses; be sure to rent one of these for a bona fide Mexican experience.
