“Breathtaking view over the landscape, small but very nice restaurants with really culinary discoveries, the supermarket very small and tight prices but 7 km further a large supermarket. But since you are traveling by car anyway should be rather the smallest problem.
Sights are limited but also a very small place. For a day exploring it is enough, but then everything is really through.
Good access to the transport routes, gas station, small market square (Thursday), ice cream, pizzeria horse farm nearby, as said car is a must.”

“Montaione is a small, fine, quiet place.
You get everything you need for a Wohlfühluraub. Post office, bank, nice pizzeria, great ice cream and a supermarket with a small but very good meat counter with a very humane price level.
We loved it, who is looking for a relaxing holiday, in the middle of a great landscape with wonderful cities all around: Florence, Lucca, Pisa, San Giminagno, this is right.”

“Shortly before Montaione there is a supermarket, which is open every day and in Montaione there is a supermarket, but lunch. Without a car one is in this area.
Montaione itself is a small sleepy town in which one however several restaurants, post office, etc. finds. In the surrounding area there are many interesting markets, cities and above all winery with which one is always friendly to the tasting is invited. The sea is about an hour drive away.
The people are uncomplicated and friendly, speak also almost all German or English.
On the roads you are forced to drive faster.”

“Montaione is a small "old town" which has charm, in which there are also two places where you can eat very well! Then there are two supermarkets in the new district.
To mention also the magnificent view, from there above over half the Chianti country has and should be enjoyed once.
More I can not say about it, since we mostly trips to the not far away places like San Gimignano, Volterra etc. and only three evenings in Montaione were.”
