“Beautiful, small and relatively unadulterated place. Restaurants, supermarket and some smaller shops, where one is not only among Germans, but usually to a good part among locals. Montaione is surrounded by a classical Tuscan landscape and is "strategically" perfect for smaller and larger excursions. Whether it is in Siena, Florence, San Gimigliano, Volterra, Lucca, Pisa or San Miniato. Everything can be reached in 20 minutes to 1 hour. Very relaxed holidays!”

“For us Montaione was ideal. Small nice place, on a hill with a beautiful view, which is not yet spoiled by tourism. The people are very friendly, the prices moderate. There are a few cafes, restaurants and shops otherwise but not much to see. The surrounding area is beautiful, many interesting places (Florence, Siena, Pisa, ..) and the sea are not far away, unfortunately there were no bus connections. There are some hiking trails, but we have not tested.”

“Der Ort Iano verfügt über einen Supermarkt und zwei Restaurants. Für größere Einkäufe gibt es mehrere Discounter, die aber nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen sind. Die Gegend ist gut geeignet, von dort Siena sowie Pisa oder Florenz zu besuchen.”

At 500 m from the apartments there are two excellent Tuscan restaurants agreements, inside the pictouresque borgo of Iano.

San Regolo, where inside there is the painting Madonna del Buon Consiglio - from 13th Century by a scholar of Cimabue, the Praetorian Palace, which houses the Museum of Natural History and, just outside the town, the chapel of Santissima Annunziata with its remarkable 17th Century fresco.

Numberless towns and villages are easy to visit in the area nearby Montaione: besides famous art cities as Florence, Pisa, Siena and Lucca, reachable in about one hour by car, there are in the surroundings medieval Tuscany towns, such as San Gimignano, Volterra and San Miniato.
