“Breathtaking view over the landscape, small but very nice restaurants with really culinary discoveries, the supermarket very small and tight prices but 7 km further a large supermarket. But since you are traveling by car anyway should be rather the smallest problem.
Sights are limited but also a very small place. For a day exploring it is enough, but then everything is really through.
Good access to the transport routes, gas station, small market square (Thursday), ice cream, pizzeria horse farm nearby, as said car is a must.”

“Small, typical Italian place, with everything you need. Highly recommended a bakery - Antica Forno, the old bread recipes used and super delicious pizza to take away offers. Nice little antique shop at the end of the pedestrian area, where you can find some nice antiques.
Good restaurants, especially I Ciampa, some nice little boutiques and 2 well-stocked supermarkets complete the offer:”

“Montaione is a small, fine, quiet place.
You get everything you need for a Wohlfühluraub. Post office, bank, nice pizzeria, great ice cream and a supermarket with a small but very good meat counter with a very humane price level.
We loved it, who is looking for a relaxing holiday, in the middle of a great landscape with wonderful cities all around: Florence, Lucca, Pisa, San Giminagno, this is right.”

This is how holiday rental owners described Montaione

The farm is located into a private park of 200 hectares in the countryside of Montaione, right between San Gimignano and Volterra just far 15 km from Belmonte Vacanze.
At 500 m from the apartments there are two excellent Tuscan restaurants agreements, inside the pictouresque borgo of Iano.

Montaione is in an ideal place for those wishing to visit Tuscany spending a holiday in the tuscan countryside. From there one can quickly reach Florence, Pisa and San Gimignano. The town of Montaione itself, with medieval traces and plan, is well worth a visit.

Noteworthy are the church of ...

San Regolo, where inside there is the painting Madonna del Buon Consiglio - from 13th Century by a scholar of Cimabue, the Praetorian Palace, which houses the Museum of Natural History and, just outside the town, the chapel of Santissima Annunziata with its remarkable 17th Century fresco.

Numberless towns and villages are easy to visit in the area nearby Montaione: besides famous art cities as Florence, Pisa, Siena and Lucca, reachable in about one hour by car, there are in the surroundings medieval Tuscany towns, such as San Gimignano, Volterra and San Miniato.
