“Very nice small place. High on a mountain with beautiful views all around, both of the mountains, and sea. It is very quiet there, because there is a central car park, from where you have to walk to the house (ca 50 meters, but very steep), through narrow alleys. One night was a wedding reception in the early Church, then there was no parking, but on the remaining days were always plenty of parking available. The driveway to the village is used to. Hardly guardrails and when there comes to meet a car it can to slope towards ever be tight. Shops there in the local, but in Imperia and Riva Ligure (Lidl). But there are 2 restaurants, which we did not visit. Highly recommended I recommend the restaurant "Pizzaria Mela Verde" in Imperia, "Ristorante La Terrazza" in San Bartolomeo al Mare and "Pizzeria La Lanterna" in Alassio. All 3 very good, clean and cheap. To the sea in San Lorenzo al Mare there are about 10 minutes drive. We were, however, rather in San Bartolomeo al Mare (very clean pebble beach, 5 euros per person, in September) or in Laigueglia (very clean sandy beach, 7.50 Euro per person, in September). The beaches in Imperia near the Mela Verde were very run down and dirty and not well attended. This I would recommend to anyone. There at the public beach are all dog poop where my shoes are unfortunately fallen victim. Conclusion: All in all I can the region around Imperia and Alassio recommend but each. The people are very friendly and just the small village like Lingueglietta are very quaint and quiet. Wonderful for recreation.”

“The place is very pitoresk, it puts a the Middle Ages. The viewpoints of the sea and for early birds the sunrise are beautiful. The view of the countryside with its hills and mountains also has its appeal. The inhabitants are open and friendly, the Italian mentality is noticeable. The village has 2 small restaurants. Shops are located within the bottom of the main street by the sea. In the resort is still a small playground. It is very tight, bigger cars are not recommended, you should as far as possible off the village square. The place is away from the hustle and traffic chaos. The beaches in Liguria are from 10 am is in the season, as is the parking. The beaches are often rocky, footwear recommended. It is advisable to invest some money in a rented beach area with umbrella and chairs.”

“Lingueglietta is a small, sleepy village, away from the bustle of the coast. The people are extremely nice and friendly. It is well maintained and really nice. However, one should be aware that there are in addition two better restaurants no bar, pizzeria or shopping on site - except a few market stalls on Saturdays at the church. Especially recommended is the restaurant "Da Titti Ü" - a short walk from the apartment and the finest Italian cuisine (5-course surprise menu around 35 EUR, Stand 06/2016).”

“If you have no car, you're more or less in a fix, in the village there is no shop for food, there was even a but further we did not care! So you could also explore the area by the sea. In the village there is a restaurant. Looks fine, but did not eat there. Otherwise it is rightly one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Super Flair, the area was a dream! For hikers perfect.”

Holiday houses at the Italian Riviera offer exiting cultural vacations at the sea

A holiday in a floral paradise? The Italian Riviera with its Mediterranean climate and its numerous cultivation areas for flower growing is regarded as one of the most beautiful areas for renting a holiday domiciles in Italy. Right at the water or rather up in the mountains, the choice of holiday apartments and houses at the Italian Riviera is large – and thus everyone can find their ideal holiday home. The Italian Riviera stretches along the Ligurian Sea to the east and west of Genoa and can be divided into the Riviera di Levante and the Riviera di Ponente. Especially popular are the holiday houses at the Italian Riviera in the villages Vado Ligure, Finale Ligure, Albenga, Alassio and Imperia as this part of the coast is also called Riviera dei Fiori – Riviera of flowers. Everywhere one can find flower markets and wide fields of flowers which will amaze you.

A holiday apartment at the Italian Riviera guarantees a wide variety

The Italian Riviera is part of the region Liguria. Along the coast there are fincas and holiday apartments in villages such as Bordighera, Diano Marina or Portofino and Cinque Terre. Heavenly sunny days in the garden of your “own” villa, perhaps even with a private pool, but in any case with a clear blue sky make a vacation in Italy so immensely popular. Fruits such as olives and grapes are grown in the hinterland in terraces, fishing is done at the coast. Clean beaches and small villages are ideal for a relaxing holiday at the Italian Riviera. Cities such as Portofino with their stunning natural harbours are the centre of attraction for VIPs from all over the world that live here or come regularly for their holidays. When in the region a must see is the Castello Brown above Portofino, a fortress from the 14th century.

Genoa – a city with history at the Italian Riviera which holiday makers should not miss out on

The Italian Riviera lies to the east and west of Genoa. Wherever your booked holiday domicile might be, a visit in the famous harbour city, the capital of Liguria, is a must for all travellers in the northwest of Italy. In 2006 declared as World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO, Genoa stretches along 35 kilometres of the coast. The metropolis, which possibly dates back to the 4th century BC, offers everything tourists wish for: Shopping, culture and most of all history. The seafarer Christopher Columbus started his voyages from Genoa to discover the new world. Here also Europe’s largest aquarium was built in 1992. The old harbour was redesigned by the renowned Italian architect Renzo Piano. In the old city one can also find the possible birthplace of Columbus. Museums, castles and the famous lighthouse of Genoa are great attractions for everyone. Those who like photography, botany, landscape drawing, water sports and history will absolutely enjoy the Italian Riviera.
