This is how holiday rental owners described Guardistallo
Guardistallo has kept its ancient characteristics of the nineteenth-century village, even if it has a german origin. The term “Guardistallo”, probably comes from the German “Warte” (lookout-post) or “Wardan” (guard) and “Stall” (place).
The landscape is typical of the Tuscany countryside with rows of cypresses, olive trees, vineyards, large cultivated cereals fields, and Mediterranean forests.
The surrounding area offers many opportunity to taste characteristic food and drinks of the old Tuscan tradition such as olive oil coming directly from an oil mill, strong red wine or dry and sweet white wine, fowl food, many kind of local pasta and a large variety of sea food.
There is a viewpoint where you can sit in the sun and enjoy the panoramic view of the coast and the islands of the Tuscany archipelago. For dining in the open air there is a pergola beside a charming forest of ancient olive-trees.
In the garden there are two barbecues and a firewood furnace.
As the cottage is in the country there is no problem with parking.
