La dolce vita – discover the sweetness of live

Whether in Tuscany or at Lake Garda, the Ligurian Riviera or the Adriatic Sea, sunny Calabria or snowy South Tyrol: Italy has always been the epitome of wanderlust, travelling and relaxation. No matter where in Italy you are, it is always the open-hearted people with their original Italian love for life and the busy and colourful flair in the Italian villages and small cities that make this Mediterranean country that attractive and unique. Take a stroll along the small alleys to piazzas, refresh yourself in a typical Italian bar, discover ancient treasures from the renaissance or just bathe in the sun – you will soon understand the meaning of Italy and the “dolce vita” – the sweetness of latraveo offers you across Italy an exceptional choice of more than 44,500 holiday apartments and houses. Worth a culinary journey

Whilst enjoying a holiday home vacation you can also have a try at preparing typical Italian food. Eventually the uniqueness of the country is also down to its culinary specialities. With fresh produce bought at the local market even a simple pasta sauce with a glass of wine tastes that much better than at home. Alternatively you can pamper yourself in one of the many Italian restaurants.

Explore Italy’s cities from your holiday apartment

One outstanding highlight is of course Italy’s renowned cities. Rome, the Eternal City, leads the way with its ancient treasures and architectural master pieces such as the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon or St. Peter’s Basilica. Venice is world-famous and unique for its setting in the lagoon and its canals which stretch through the city. Florence, Verona and Siena impress with their cultural sights. And while Milan in the north made its name as the fashion capital Naples in the south attracts tourists with its spectacular location between the sea and Mount Vesuvius. Choose a holiday apartment in one of the Italian cities or at least plan one or two city day trips – you won’t regret it.

By plane, car or train to Italy

Depending on your travel destination and starting point there are several journey options available. The most flexibility is guaranteed by travelling with your own car. However one must consider that travelling to south Italy takes a long time. There are international airports all over Italy and flights to popular holiday destinations are provided all year round. Travelling by train is also a good option when visiting the country south of the Alps.

“Civitella San Paolo is one of many small towns in the area. Fiano Romano is very nearby and offers supermarkets and petrol stations also quick access to the A1 motorway.
The place has a small manageable Old Town, which is virtually free of cars. The local children playing in the square before the church football and you can relax wonderfully in the ice cream parlor and enjoy great Italian ice. There are a few small shops with clothes in Italian style and smaller private businesses such as a fish market and grocery stores. It is clear but everything available, to feel comfortable. Just outside is a small family park.”

“The house is very picturesque between the towns of Fiano Romano and Civitella San Paolo. Fiano Romano is the larger of the two places and has an historic town center with narrow streets and Castello ... also you can buy everything you need. The fruit and vegetable traders next to the baker and the small supermarket is highly recommended and the pizza from the bakery was nei us a popular lunch. Otherwise, you can tell by the place that he has seen better times. Civitella is smaller and although almost painterly unfortunately dying out: felt at each 2.Haus hangs a "for sale" sign.
In both places we have stumbled not even about other tourists and also in the larger supermarkets in Capena rarely.
We drove several animations by train to Rome. A train station is cheaper in Monterotondo: 15 minutes by car and then about 25 minutes by train, which leaves every hour several times. Highly recommended! Especially when you can steer clear of the usual commuting hours - because it is a little crowded on the train and the metro in Rome is then no fun .... especially not with children.”

“The house is actually closer to Fiano Romano then in Civitella San Paolo (which is erroneously called Citivella in the offer). Fiano is no 5km away but always the place where messages need to be done. There is an MD supermarket where you can find almost everything.
As a base for various excursions is well situated. We next get done: 3x Rome (45km), Ostia Antiqua, Tarquinia, Bracciano Lake, Villa d'Este and Villa Adriana in Tivoli, Calcata, Civitella and Magic Land. The highway is 10 km from the house.”
