“The resort is in a small Scottish village. In this village itself are just a few possibilities. But much can be reached in a few minutes by car”

“Who, like us, to hike comes in the Highlands, finds a large number of sometimes very extensive hiking trails of varying difficulty. A good hiking map (many outdoor shops offer everything you need) but is highly recommended. About the cable car at the Cairn Gorm you can without arduous climb to the summit reach regions. If you like, place a wide range of offerings to outdoor activities. The central location of the resort's many sights of the Highlands are easily accessible by car yet.”

“In the village which by car only 5 minutes. away, there is a small Spar supermarket and a hotel, cafe and restaurants. An adventure park is also located in the village. Many attractions are easily reached, Carrbridge is because very low. Inverness as major city can be reached in just 30 minutes and there is then also a lot of big supermarkets and shopping centers which have opened in some cases even 24 hour, all week. We were rather very rarely go eat there, the prices in restaurants are rather high. Even foods are more expensive than ours. The entrance fees to castles, ruins, museums and parks are sure to weigh Adventure for everyone even, partly, I found it very high. Hiking is very good thanks to good map material and well labeled trails. Only the weather often let us down, from 3 weeks holiday in June / July, the half was rained out and the day temperatures were more in autumnal field. The beautiful landscape with all the lakes, castles, waterfalls is still gigantic beautiful and worth a visit in any case.”

Enjoy lakes and mountains at a holiday home in the Scottish Highlands

Scotland | Enjoy misty mountains and serene lakes while at a holiday home in the Scottish Highlands in the north of the United Kingdom. Here you'll see some of Scotland's most scenic countryside. This sparsely populated region is one of picturesque beauty where ruined castles sit atop green hillsides. Rivers and lakes cut into the verdant landscape of the Scottish Highlands to dramatic effect and the coastal area offers both rugged beauty and peaceful secluded beaches. Holiday rentals allow visitors to experience all this and more. Renting holiday houses or holiday apartments allows visitors to enjoy all of the comforts of home while exploring this historic country.

National parks of the Scottish Highlands

Both of Scotland's national parks are located in the Highlands and holiday houses and holiday apartments allow travellers to explore them at their leisure. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is a great place to go boating. Take to the water for the day and explore some of the area's many islands. The Trossachs include plenty of places for hiking and several other lakes including Loch Katherine, where visitors can take a trip on a historic steam ship. The Cairngorms National Park is full of rugged mountains and is popular for hiking and climbing as well as its funicular railway. In the winter the park offers several choice ski locations. Book holiday rentals to enjoy all this and much more.

Other sites of the Highlands

Holiday rentals and holiday homes are the perfect base for exploring the Scottish Highlands. Amongst the area's many attractions Ben Nevis, Great Britain's highest peak, is perfect for hiking and is located just outside of Fort William, one of the area's most popular cities. The Highlands are also home to Loch Ness, one of the world's most famous lakes. Go there and search for the mythic monster. Even if you don't see it, you can still visit Urquhart Castle, a romantic ruin with spectacular views. Holiday homes and holiday apartments are a great way to enjoy everything the Scottish Highlands have to offer.
