Relaxation and partying – That is what Majorca has to offer

Majorca | Majorca is not only a popular party destination in the summer but offers throughout the year a range of options to enjoy a great holiday home vacation. Choose your dream finca or a suitable holiday apartment on Majorca and discover what this Balearic Island in the Mediterranean Sea has to offer! The south of Majorca is a particularly lively place. Here you can find the island capital Palma de Mallorca with its pretty historical centre and impressive cathedral. East of that is the never ending beach Platja de Palma to goes to s'Arenal. In the midst of this party addicts will find their desire. More placid are the towns of sa Ràpita, Llucmajor, Campos and Saint Jordi as well as the splendid lovely beach of Es Trenc. Along the eastern side of Majorca you will be able to discover many small coastal resorts and lovely beaches. Particularly popular are Porto Cristo, Cala d'Or, Cala Ratjada and Santanyí. The north of the island is very much free of mass tourism. Larger towns here are Alcúdia and Pollença. This part of the island is shaped by lovely beaches and captivating natural landscape. A trip to Cap Formentor which is on the north western tip of the island and where you will find a lonesome lighthouse is worth considering. There are great holiday homes available in the north like for example in Cala de Sant Vicenç, Can Picafort, Port de Pollença and Muro. Even more secluded than the north is the west part of Majorca where one can find many remote small towns and villages. This is complemented by the spectacular mountain range Serra de Tramuntana which is the ideal place for climbers, hikers and mountain bikers with its vast area. On the south western part around Andratx and Port d'Andratx you will find many luxury villas of celebrities and it’s also much livelier here. It is also worth taking a look in the heartland of the island. The landscape is very impressive and many villages have been able to retain their Majorcan way of life. Most of the houses in the mountains and hills are traditionally restored and modern fincas. Most have their own pool and are generally cheaper than those objects at the coast. From here you can explore the countryside around you or head off to the next beach – which is never far away.

“In 5 minutes you are in Santanyi where we shopped direction Campos in Eroski each at the entrance. The prices there are ok, you get everything there.
You can eat very well in the Pizzeria "Es Vinyet". The paella and the fish were very tasty, and of course the pizza's! The prices are moderate and the service friendly.
Since we were in Mallorca in November, many restaurants and bars were closed. But we visited naturally still different coves: Cala Llombards is beautiful, must be great in summer for swimming. Cala Figuera, a fishing port is more touristy. But comfortable to sit in the Bon bar and look at the small harbor is. The tapas here are fine. Sitting in Sa Rapita seaside cafe, or in Colonia de Saint Jordi seaside .... wonderful!”

“Shopping is only possible by car, 2 min. a small supermarket in Cala Llombards, in just 10 minutes. Santanyi where there is a large supermarket. Also highly recommended is the market on Saturday in Santanyi! The place is super small and secluded, but the beach Moro caused in the immediate vicinity, a secret that it attracts many tourists during the high season and according to traffic. From the house the bay S'Almunia and Moro is within walking distance (for healthy and young at heart ;-) and hiking starts in front of the house and leads for hours along the coast, accessible only on foot with a beautiful view to Cap de ses Salines and even continue. Overall, highly recommended for people who like to spend the secluded outside, and in the rest of their holiday.”

“Very nice region, with jagged cliffs and thousands of small bays (Calas).
For small shopping (bread, butter, milk) are in the neighboring Cala Lombards is a small supermarket about 4 minutes by car. For larger purchases is super the Eroski Center in Santanyi, 6 km from the house by car about 12 minutes.
Highlights are certainly Cala Figuera with a cute little fishing port, where you can buy fresh fish in the afternoon directly from the cutter. We are actually almost every day went to another bay, as they are all very nice. Cala Mondrago (nature reserve) Cala Santynyi (with attached hotel complex), Platja des Trenc (Pure Caribbean feeling, turquoise water and white sandy beach, but also a meeting place for naturist tourists) and Cala Pi fjord-like bay with a small sandy beach are probably the most recommendable bays.”
