“Genügend Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung, mit dem Zug in 1,5 Stunden in Rom. Sehr empfehlenswert: Lago di Vico & Lago di Bracciano. Viele schöne Städtchen in der Nähe. Sehr erholsamer Urlaub, würden sofort wiederkommen.”

“It's a beautiful area. The village is very simple and you have so who so need a car. Eating out can be done best in Sutrie there is more to do.
    That is the next village.
If you're for peace, space and nature / culture is it is a great stay. For visit to Rome I would not recommend it because of the distance.”

“The place Bassano Romano is a small place where you can buy all the necessary food, etc.. Best to buy the local wine, which you can fill out barrels in the market. The people are very friendly and accommodating.
It is advisable to arrive by car (rental cars) in order to make trips to Rome or to the coastal town of Santa Marinella (better S. Severa) can. But also the nearby places like Bracciano (Lake Bracciano ) and Manziana are worth a trip.”

“Bassano Romano is a typical love at second glance: There are basically just an appreciable supermarket and only limited supply of restaurants itself However, this is more than compensated by the excellent location.. A few kilometers away is the lively Sutri, the beautiful hiking areas of Monte Cimini can also be reached after a short drive from the beach and is 50 kilometers - as well as to the capital Rome. Anyone who travels with open eyes - or simply heeded the advice of the landlord - can thus discover new heights every day.”

Worth a culinary journey

Whilst enjoying a holiday home vacation you can also have a try at preparing typical Italian food. Eventually the uniqueness of the country is also down to its culinary specialities. With fresh produce bought at the local market even a simple pasta sauce with a glass of wine tastes that much better than at home. Alternatively you can pamper yourself in one of the many Italian restaurants.

Explore Italy’s cities from your holiday apartment

One outstanding highlight is of course Italy’s renowned cities. Rome, the Eternal City, leads the way with its ancient treasures and architectural master pieces such as the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon or St. Peter’s Basilica. Venice is world-famous and unique for its setting in the lagoon and its canals which stretch through the city. Florence, Verona and Siena impress with their cultural sights. And while Milan in the north made its name as the fashion capital Naples in the south attracts tourists with its spectacular location between the sea and Mount Vesuvius. Choose a holiday apartment in one of the Italian cities or at least plan one or two city day trips – you won’t regret it.

By plane, car or train to Italy

Depending on your travel destination and starting point there are several journey options available. The most flexibility is guaranteed by travelling with your own car. However one must consider that travelling to south Italy takes a long time. There are international airports all over Italy and flights to popular holiday destinations are provided all year round. Travelling by train is also a good option when visiting the country south of the Alps.
