La dolce vita – discover the sweetness of live

Whether in Tuscany or at Lake Garda, the Ligurian Riviera or the Adriatic Sea, sunny Calabria or snowy South Tyrol: Italy has always been the epitome of wanderlust, travelling and relaxation. No matter where in Italy you are, it is always the open-hearted people with their original Italian love for life and the busy and colourful flair in the Italian villages and small cities that make this Mediterranean country that attractive and unique. Take a stroll along the small alleys to piazzas, refresh yourself in a typical Italian bar, discover ancient treasures from the renaissance or just bathe in the sun – you will soon understand the meaning of Italy and the “dolce vita” – the sweetness of latraveo offers you across Italy an exceptional choice of more than 44,500 holiday apartments and houses. From Tuscan country manors to cosy city apartments like in Venice or Florence ife.

Worth a culinary journey

Whilst enjoying a holiday home vacation you can also have a try at preparing typical Italian food. Eventually the uniqueness of the country is also down to its culinary specialities. With fresh produce bought at the local market even a simple pasta sauce with a glass of wine tastes that much better than at home. Alternatively you can pamper yourself in one of the many Italian restaurants.

Explore Italy’s cities from your holiday apartment

One outstanding highlight is of course Italy’s renowned cities. Rome, the Eternal City, leads the way with its ancient treasures and architectural master pieces such as the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon or St. Peter’s Basilica. Venice is world-famous and unique for its setting in the lagoon and its canals which stretch through the city. Florence, Verona and Siena impress with their cultural sights. And while Milan in the north made its name as the fashion capital Naples in the south attracts tourists with its spectacular location between the sea and Mount Vesuvius. Choose a holiday apartment in one of the Italian cities or at least plan one or two city day trips – you won’t regret it.

By plane, car or train to Italy

Depending on your travel destination and starting point there are several journey options available. The most flexibility is guaranteed by travelling with your own car. However one must consider that travelling to south Italy takes a long time. There are international airports all over Italy and flights to popular holiday destinations are provided all year round. Travelling by train is also a good option when visiting the country south of the Alps.

“Arsita has a small supermarket, where all the needful can be bought and the price / quality is good as well as the friendly service. The roads around the village is in decline. The road that runs along Santa Acque is completely collapsed 500 meters past the house towards the mountain pass Vade di Sole.
In order to achieve the village (6 km), is driven almost at walking pace, and concentrated (20 to 30 minutes). The road pavement is cracked anywhere. It is not advisable here at night to drive because of the ravine which does inkalven the road. There is one restaurant but not very advisable to.
To explore the province (Chietti, L'Aquilla etc ...) you can use the large and very good highways but it takes an hour to get out of the mountainous landscape to the main roads (this is the flip side of the beautiful remoteness). It requires more organization and thoughtful scheduling. Regional and local roads is actually much everywhere (frozen) but around Arsita most. The location of the house is primarily a place for people who can appreciate solitude (like me)”

“In the immediate vicinity you can start small and large hikes and walks. In the national park there are numerous highly skilled routes. More job opportunities are easy to reach by car.
The next town is Arsita because you can recharge, enjoy a coffee and buy everything you needed (at least in May). Orphaned mountain villages are easily accessible by car, the distances stretch! If one estimates the seclusion and desire has on nature, friendly and helpful people, animals and plenty of rest: Perfect!”

“Time pick on the fly rolls not going Arsita is too far away for that. On the streets in the area, we came forward with an average speed of 45 km / h. The sea was about 1 1/4 hours. Necessary. Pizzeria in Castelli is good. The Campo Imperatore with its beautiful old towns must have seen. The ascent to Corno Grande is quite feasible (children over 10 years with rope, not the most direct route to the summit go), the views stunning. The additional costs have amounted for us (2: 2) at 15 EURO (fourteen days).”
