“The villa is located between Paramonas Beach and Agios Gordis. Aghios Mattheos is a mountain village inland. You are just as fast at Agios Gordis with all the amenities (small supermarkets, restaurants and other restaurants). For large supermarkets you need to go to Corfu Town. It is recommended to do the great groceries immediately after arriving on the island. The rest can be "supplemented" with local groceries.
Agios Gordis found us very nice: nice beach, nice atmosphere and lots of amenities.”

“An island to shoot, beaches and beaches, boat trips and ferries to nearby islands, with some history, though not many, there are also a couple of stops to be made more cultural. The best thing to eat is the Greek salad, the rest one knows. Accustomed to Italy the food is always a flaw in almost all trips, if we find people living of spices and cinnamon so the matter is even worse. Note dutiful for the wonderful water, although this was granted.”

Distances: beach: 50 m from the villa is within a private sandy / pebble beach via a path. Would you like a little further south, the beach of Paramonas is about 2km and here you will find a magnificent sea fish tavern.

Further south is the beautiful beach of Chalicounas. Here you can watch the amazing kite surfers and there are rare birding trails and bike paths in idyllic landscape. Also good area for walkers with walking trails around the lake. Agios Gordis is a famous sandy beach, where it is also a diving school located in only 4-5 km. Other beaches like Prasoudi, Kanouli. Agios Georgios in a few minutes by car.

Shops / Restaurants: All the shops can be found in Agios Matheos shops at 4 klms supermarket, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, BBQ area and taverns, ATM. In Paramonas at 2 klms there are taverns and in Agios Gordis or Messonghi at 4 and 6 klms, etc. You will find the boutiques Nightlife

On the less-developed western coast of the island, just a short drive from the villa to the south of Paramonas are the beautiful sandy beaches of Prasoudi, Kanouli and Halicounas. A little further you can find the well-organized beach of San George South offers to find all water sports. To the north Agios Gordis beach will also win the bars and restaurants by the sea.

Nearby resort of Messonghi is relatively untouched by tourism, and still retains the welcoming characteristics of a Greek coastal village. You will find a variety of tavernas both by the sea and offers a beautiful view of the Greek mainland. It also returns a number of bars and tavernas set from the coasts and aa variety stores and supermarkets, there is even a bakery. Public telephones are scattered around the village, the cell phone reception is generally good, and there is a bus stop in the middle of the village. Sissi Palace and joy of love

Corfu | The most popular and diverse island of the western side of Greece is Corfu. Next to Zakynthos, Lefkas and Kefalonia it is one of the Ionian Islands which stretch out from Peloponnes to the Albanian border. Corfu has an abundance of picturesque beaches with crystal clear water, impressive landscapes and great recreational activities. We recommend a day trip to the splendid small palace Achilleion. Sissi and later Wilhelm II resided here and enjoyed the view towards the sea. The famous Austrian monarch built this palace as her favourite holiday domicile. It has a very well kept palace garden with beautiful views towards the sea. Visitors can now access the gardens. Afterwards it is worth to visit the islands capital Kerkyra that provides with its historical centre and old fortress one of Greece’s most appealing towns. The old city centre was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007 and one is able to spend a lovely time in one of the numerous cafés and restaurants. Particularly in the evening the place turns into a living room with a special Mediterranean flair.
At Sidari situated in the north there is the Canal d'Amour which is a natural fjord like canal that connects two small bays. According to a legend any woman who swims through this canal and thinks about her dream man will soon end up in front of the altar.
